Distinguishing features
  • The Agricultural Biotechnology Laboratories (ABL), the first research center for genetic engineering studies among all the universities in Taiwan, was founded in NCHU in 1984.
  • To meet the advances in today’s biotechnology, Biotechnology Center (BTC) was reorganized from ABL in 2001.
  • To serve as a bridge of colleges of NCHU:
    introduce new molecular techniques, train students and researchers, and provide the resources for biotech research.
