The UC Davis (UCD) 3+ X Master's Degree Program is aimed to assist excellent NCHU undergraduate students to pursuit their master degree at UCD. This innovative master program provides better opportunities for undergraduates with NCHU Bachelor degrees to study Master's degree at UCD. This program was initiated by the Vice President of NCHU, Dr. Chang-Hsien Yang, and the Director of Asian International Programs at UCD, Dr. Linxia Liang. Currently, several institutes from both sides are involved in this great program, such as the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the Department of Plant Pathology, Departments of Plant Biology, Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Physiology (MCIP), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), and Computer Science at UCD; and the Departments of Applied Economics, Civil Engineering, and Environmental Engineering, Plant Pathology, Life Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and International Bachelor Program of Agribusiness at NCHU. We anticipate more Departments and Institutes will be jointed us in this great program to nurture young talents for the community.
The NCHU will select excellent and highly motivated undergraduate students who have completed three years' undergraduate course studies to apply for admission of this 3+X Master's degree programs at UC Davis. Selected students who are accepted into this program will complete UCD Global Student Program (GSP) for the first term and subsequently complete their Bachelors’ degree at NCHU before enrolling formally with Graduate Studies for their master's program at UCD. The NCHU will provide financial support for the selected undergraduate students who participate this 3+X Master Degree Program. Students who are interesting in this program can visit websites of the Office of International Affairs at NCHU for more information about the financial supports and scholarship, and websites of UCD to obtain more information about their master degree programs.
